Blog Entry 21:
Outcome 1 is based on Fig.1 mock 8, but is a more refined version, using refined techniques and made after considering all design problems. I have created the illustrated hands on the garment by painting onto calico, which has then been stitched around in black to blend the edges with the dress fabric using the free machine embroidery technique, the hand has been slightly stuffed with regular stuffing material to create slight relief, which is an aspect of embroidery I have been researching and creating samples for throughout this project. I have specifically made each garment to measure for a specific model to ensure that the garment shapes itself to the contours of the body in the best way possible.
